On Wednesday, July 11th at the Brighttalk Mobile Security Webinar, Information Technology Security expert and author Raj Goel presented “A Global Perspective on Mobile Security, Privacy and Safety.”
Goel’s presentation focused on the challenges to privacy, security, and safety posed by end-users, mobile devices, vendors, and governments. Companies may worry about which employees they trust and what devices are allowed onto the network. However, Goel questioned whether there are bigger threats to networks like telephone companies, technology vendors, and governments. Goel examined this side of cyber security and safety in networks with the use of case studies from around the world. It is surprising to see all the threats to one’s identity that many people do not even know about. Goel teaches his audience members how to avoid these potential threats. Technologies like cell phones, emails, web browsers, EZPasses, and certain phone applications can threat everyone.
